And the winner is .... Martine Pow! Picture by Gillian Kirkwood

Rookie senior Martine Pow adds another title to her collection ... and is match-play top seed

Selkirk's Martine Pow, a rookie senior - her 50th birthday was in the spring, has marked her reinstatement as an amateur after a short spell as a professional by winning the Scottish senior women's stroke-play championship over 36 holes at Powfoot Golf Club on the shores of the Solway Firth.

The top 16 go on to contest the Scottish senior women's match-play championship today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) and Pow is seeded to meet Aberdeen Ladies' Sheena Wood in the final.
Martine (pictured putting today by Gillian Kirkwood) , winner of the Scottish women's amateur championship and the British women's mid-amateur title in 2006 as well as countless Selkirk club and county titles, had rounds of 72 and 73 for a one-under-par aggregate of 145 over the par-73 links. She had halves of 38-35 compared with 35-37 for her first round.
Pow had seven birdies over the 36 holes, which was one fewer than Sheena Wood who scored 75-72 for 147, two shots behind the stroke-play title winner.
Wood's second-round birdies came at the second, third, fourth, fifth, 13th and 16th.
Alison Bartlett (Royal Dornoch), the Northern Counties LGA secretary who won both the seniors' stroke-play and match-play titles, has lost her grip on the first but still has a chance of the second as one of the 16 qualifiers .
She finished joint seventh with scores of 78 and 77 for 155.

Noreen Fenton (Dunbar) would have qualified on the limit mark for the match-play stages but  declined to play as she is a selector.
There was a play-off between Lorna Bennett (Ladybank) and Kathleen Sutherland (Royal Montrose)  for the last place in the draw.
Kathleen had a birdie 3 and Lorna a par 4 at the first extra hole (the 17th)
