Austin Ernst leads rain-delayed Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic
Austin Ernst played just enough holes Saturday at the Yokohama Tire
LPGA Classic to gain the lead before play was suspended for the day.
Ernst birdied the second hole, taking a one-shot lead at 10 under when 36-hole leader Yani Tseng bogeyed the fourth. Play was suspended for most of the day Saturday due to inclement weather in the area in Prattville, Ala. Ernst and Tseng were only able to complete four holes in their third round.
Play was called due to darnkess at 7:57 p.m. EDT, but will resume at 8:30 Sunday morning. The fourth round will be played on split tees and is expected to begin around 10:20 a.m., according to the LPGA.
Lexi Thompson and Sei Young Kim are among a group of four two shots back at 8 under heading into Sunday play.
