Jane Turner makes top ten in Finland
West Linton's Jane Turner finished 10th and Michele Thomson (Meldrum House) joint 23rd in the HLR Women's Open at Hill Side Golf and Country Club, Vihti in Finland today (Sunday).
Jane had rounds of 72, 74 and 70 for a three-over-par total of 216 over the par 71 course.
She had an eagle 3 at the 13th and birdies at the second and 11th, offset by bogeys at the eighth, 10th, 16th and 18th in halves of 35.
Thomson had a triple bogey 8 at the long sixth. With an eagle 3 at the 13th and birdies at the fourth, ninth and 10th she was three under par for the other holes.
Thomson's rounds were 75, 74 and 71 for 220.
Winner by three strokes was Holland's Anne Van Dam who had scores of 72, 62 and 73 for six-under 207
Gemma Webster,Gemma Dryburgh and Laura Murray, all on 150, missed the second-round cut on Saturday by one stroke.
