       Sandra Nordaas from Oslo, Norway. The first Norwegian to win the British girls open amateur championship for Under-18s since Marianne Skarpnord in 2015.
Sandra, 18, did it with some spectacular scoring in a final of rare quality against Spain's Marta Perez  Sanmartin, a 16-year-old from Valenci.
Neither player had a bogey and between them they had 10 birdies in the final which drew quite a large gallery to the West Kilbride GC venue.
Nordaas contributed six of the birdies and was six under par in winning by 2 and 1. Sanmartin had four birdies, all of them in the second half of the final, and she was four under par.
The pair also played their qualifying rounds together a the start of the week.
"I've enjoyed my week so much. Playing links golf is great fun," said Sandra who was ranked No 522 before the start of the week.
She beat the World No 3 Maria Parra in the morning semi-finals while San Martin beat the 43rd ranked Ana Pelaez in the other semi-final.
