Swiss miss sets pace with a 70 at British women's open amateur stroke-play

Tara and Chloe leading Scots on 75 at Moortown as Swiss miss posts a four-under 70

Students Tara Mactaggart from Minto in the Borders and Chloe Goadby (St Regulus) were jointly the leading Scots at the end of the first round of the 72-hole British women's open amateur stroke-play championship at Moortown Golf Club, Leeds.S
Both shot one-over-par 75s to be sharing 14th place behind surprise leader, Swiss teenager Vanessa Knecht, with a four-under-par 70.
 Stirling student Tara had birdies at the first, second, fifth, ninth and 16th but alson up six bogeys
St Andrews student Chloe also had six bogeys, offset by an eagle 3 at the long second and biredies at the seventh, ninth and 16th.
