Title-holder Ramsay loses in Strathtyrum final

Defending champion Ann Ramsay went down by one hole in the final of this week's Strathtyrum tournament at St Andrews.
All square after 12 holes against Louise Sims, the No. 1 seed from Broadstone, Dorset, Ann lost by the narrowest of margins.
The handicap final was won by Lynn Terry (Cruden Bay) who beat Lorraine Morrow (St Regulus) by 3 and 2 in tyhe final.
The Eden Trophy for men at St Andrews was won by Adam Stone (Lancaster), a one-hole winner in the final agaisnt Martin Conley (Northants).
RESULTS
STRATHTYRUM TOURNAMENT
Semi-finals - L Sims (Broadstone) bt K Marshall (Baberton) 5 and 4, A Ramsay (Kirriemuir) bt D Geldenhuys (Saf) 4 and 3.
Final - Sims bt Ramsay 1 hole.
WOMEN'S HANDICAP TOURNAMENT
Semi-finals -  L Morrow (St Regulus) bt C Purves (Selkirk) at 19th, L Tertry (Cruden Bay) bt M Finn (Ire) 1 hole.
Final - Terry bt Morrow 3 and 2.
EDEN TOURNAMENT
Semi-finals - M Conley (Northants) bt D Waddell (Glasgow) 1 ole, A Stone ( Lancaster) bt H Henfrey (Northants) 3 and 2.
Final - Stone bt Conley 1 hole
