COLLEGE TOURNAMENT
Callum
McGuigan, a second-year student at the University of the Cumberlands,
Williamsburg, Kentucky today (Friday) won the 36-hole Bill Sergent
Invitational college golf tournament at Crooke Creek Golf Club,
Kentucky.
McGuigan made all the running with rounds of 67 and 71 for a total of six-under-par 138 over a par-72 course of 6,930yd.
He won by one stroke from a French team-mate. Forian Loutre (70-69).
Their combined efforts helped the University of the Cumberlands to win the team title by 11 strokes from Cumberland University.
Fort William's Alasdair Ross (Union College, Kentucky) finished T21 in a field of 59 players with rounds of 73 and 77 for 150.
Union College (585) finish fourth in a field of nine for the team event.
