England rally to salvage a draw with Wales
SENIOR SCOTS WOMEN HAMMERED
8-0 IN DUBLIN
Scotland,
beaten 7-1 by Ireland 12 months ago, suffered an even heavier 8-0
defeat by the home favourites on the opening day of the senior women's
home golf internationals at Elm Park Golf Club, Dublin today (WED).
The Scots lost the foursomes 3-0 and then were outplayed 5-0 in the singles in which none of the ties got beyond the 15th green.
Title-holders
England had to win the last two singles to salvage a 4-4 draw with
Wales whom they beat 7-1 in last year's tournament.
