ends
12th in match-play qualifying
Sheena
Wood (Aberdeen Ladies) finished tied seventh in the individual
qualifying table but her Scotland team-mates were not in the same class
and failed by a wide margin to be one of the eight teams who will
contest the championship match-play flight of the European senior
women's golf championship at the National Golf Resort, Lithuania.
Sheena, pictured, had two rounds of 76 for 152 - only three shots behind the joint leaders,
Laura Webb (Ireland) (76-73) and Susanne Dieners (Germany) (74-75).
Germany headed the championship flight qualifiers with England in fourth place and Ireland sixth.
Scotland
finished the stroke-play qualifying in 12th position and will contest a
six-team Flight B. Their first match is against Austria.
