circuit debut, Emily Aird makes top 20
North of Scotland women's champion Kimberley Beveridge (Aboyne), now a student at Tyler Junior College, Texas, has finished 22nd in a field of 50 in her debut competition on the United States women's college golf circuit.
Kimberley, pictured right, had scores of 80, 82 and 78 for a total of 240 in the Hawks Creek Invitational at Hawks Creek Golf Club, Fort Worth in Texas.
She finished 18 shots behind the joint winners, Alex Schies (Texas Wesleyan) (74-72-76) and Maddy Buhler (Incarnate Word) (73-77-72)
Tyler (968) finished eighth of 10 in the team event won by Incarnate Word (935)
Meanwhile Emily Aird from Perth, a third-year student at Newman University, Kansas, finished joint 17th ina field of 97 at the North-eastern State Classic at Cherokee Springs Golf Club, Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Emily, pictured left, had scores of 78 and 80 for 158, 10 behind the joint winners, Baylee Price (NE State) (74-74) and Audrey Melsch (Oklahoma Christian (73-75).
Josie Jenkins from London, a final year student at Newman, finished joint 30th with rounds of 86 and 77.
Oklahoma Christian (615) won the team title from a field of 18 teams. Newman (629) finished fifth.
