Sandy Scott ties for 13th place at Duke of York
Young Champions tournament at Prince's
Sandy Scott (Nairn), pictured below, finished the leading Scot - tied 13th in an international field of 56 teenagers from around the world - in The Duke of York Young Champions' Trophy tournament, played mostly in windy weather, at Prince's Golf Club, Kent.
Scott shot rounds of 72, 76 and 73 for a total of 221 - 14 shots behind the winner of the prestigious title, Oliver Lindell from Finland with rounds of 73, 68 and 66 for 207.
Scottish boys match-play champion Will Porter from Carnoustie had a nightmare final round of 83 after earlier scores of 75 and 73. His total of 231 earned him 36th place.
Claire Robertson (Carnoustie Ladies) shot 76, 77 and 73 for 21st place on 226.
Joanne Free (Gullane Ladies) finished 44th on 239 with rounds of 79, 80 and 80.
