Sheena Wood beats Fiona De Vries in
Veterans' final at Blairgowrie

Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies), the North champion, won the Scottish Veteran Ladies Golf Association match-play championship over the Lansdowne coursse, Blairgowrie today.
She beat Fiona De Vries (St Rule), the Midland qualifier, by 5 and 4 in the final.
After the morning semi-finals were played latterly in torrential rain, the sun came out for the final.
The
match was decided on greens, with Sheena holing some telling 5ft putts early on to get to four up at the turn. The holes were
halved from there on in, and Sheena sealed the match with a par three at
the 14th for a 5 and 4 victory.
In
the morning Wood
(North) beat Highland's Alison Bartlett (Royal Dornoch) by 3 and 2 and De Vries beat West champion Lesley Lloyd (Hayston) at the 20th.
