Ireland, who have not won the Women's Home Internationals title since their back-to-back successes at Cruden Bay (2003) and Royal Portruseh (2004) edged closer to ending their long, lean spell by taking a 2-1 lead over England into this afternoon's six singles on the final day at Royal Wimbledon Golf Club.
Ireland started the day with a win and a draw to their credit, putting them ahead of Scotland and England, each with one win, and Wales with a draw.
If the Irish beat England then they with the Miller Trophy.
Scotland need England to force a draw and the Scots also need to beat Wales, no small task, given that Wales lead 2-1 after this morning's foursomes.
