Dulcie makes top 10 on Kiawah Island
Dulcie Sverdloff (Kennesaw State University) achieved a top 20 finishd despite a last-round slump to a 79 in the Palmetto Intercollebgiate women's college tournament at the Turtle Point golf course on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
Dulcie had double bogesy at the first and sixth in halves of 41-38 in the final round. She had one birdie, at the 18th.
Dulcie's earlier rounds were 70 and 73. Her 54-hole total was six-over 222 - nine shots behind the winner by three, Yupaporn Kawinpakom (Kansas) with consistent scores of 70, 3 and 70 for three-under 213.
Stetson's Paige Kemp from Essex - her mother is Scottish - and team-mate Eilidh Watson from Dollar did not do so well.
Paige finished T93 in a field of 102 players after rounds of 78, 81 and 86 for 245.
Watson had rounds of 82, 82 and 83 for 247 and a T95 finish.
Furman (875) won the team title ahead of Chattanooga (882)
Kennesaw State tied for ninth on 901. Stteson finished last of 20 with a 943 total.
