England retain Senior Home Internationals title by beating Ireland
Scots finish bottom of table after defeat by Wales
Scotland led Wales 2-1 after the foursomes but lost the singles 4-1 to go down 5-3 and finish bottom of the table in the Senior Women's Home Internationals at Elm Park Golf Club, Dublin.
England came from behind to retain the Sue Johnson Trophy. They beat Ireland, who had won their first two matches, 5-3 to top the table with 5pt to Ireland's 4.
So, for the second year in a row, England made a clean sweep of the women's, girls' and senior women's home internationals.
But in the afternoon it all went pear-shaped for the Scot with defeats for Lorna Bennett, Lesley Lloyd, Sheena Wood and Fiona De Vries.
Only Lorna McKinlay (Dunnikier Park) was able to win her singles. She beat Denise Richards by 3 and 2 and was Scotland's most successful player in the tournament, with two wins and a draw for 2.5pt.
Lesley Lloyd (Hayston) and Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies) came next with 2pt apiece.
MVP of the tournament was Ireland's Laura Webb with six wins out of six.
