Gemma and Jane well placed to make it
through to LET Final Q School in December
Aberdeen's
Gemma Dryburgh (Beaconsfield) and Jane Turner (West Linton) are well placed to qualify
for the Ladies European Tour School Final Qualifying tournament in
Morocco next month.
With
one round to go in the pre-qualifying tournament at Mohammedia Golf
Club, Casablanca, Dryburgh is joint sixth with rounds of 75, 71 and 77
for 223, while Turner is in joint 10th position on 225 (72-75-78)
Heather Stirling is sharing 32nd place on 235 with scores of 78, 75 and 82. She is too close for comfort to the qualifying cut-off mark of the leading 31 and ties after 72 holes.
Justine Dreher (France) leads the competition with a two-over-par total of 218 (73-72-73).

Glasgow's Gemma Webster (Succession Group) has bleak hopes of qualifying. She has had deteriorating scores of 77, 83 and 91 for 251 and joint 62nd position.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Apologies to all concerned for earlier story that the tournament was all over after 54 holes. It took a call from Heather Stirling in Morocco to put me in the picture. She says she needs a good score in the final round to figure among the qualifiers.
Thanks to Jane Turner via Mary Richardson for telline me that the "magic number" after 72 holes is the leading 31 players and ties to advance to the Final Q School over the Amelkis and Sammanah courses in Marrakech from December 18 to 21.
