Women's Open despite late double bogey
By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Hannah
McCook shot a level-par 71 to be sharing fourth place at the end of the
first round of the Argentina Open women's golf tournament at the
Hurlingham Club, Buenos Aires today (Thursday).
The
Grantown on Spey golfer from Nethybridge would have been in second
place on her own but for a double bogey 6 at the 17th hole.
Earlier
Hannah had birdied the short third, the long sixth and 11th, and the
par-4 16th, with only one bogey, at the eighth in halves of 34 and 37.
McCook is five shots behind the leader by four, Argentina amateur Agustina Zeballos.
Second place is shared by Argentina professional Sofia Toccafondi and amateur Laura Edmonds, also of the host country.
Ireland's Jessica Ross had an 81.
