Cheyenne Woods' last-round 69 keeps 

her place on LPGA Tour

Cheyenne Woods' rookie season on the LPGA Tour was a disappointment, but a closing kick to 2015 at Q School -- one that was more in line with her famous last name -- guaranteed she'll get another crack next year.

Woods, pictured, began the final round of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament tied for 24th place, but the Wake Forest grad shot 69 to finish T-13. The top 20 earned full-time status on the LPGA Tour for the 2016 season.

"I'm really proud of how I played today," said Woods, who was two over through six holes before finishing with a flurry of five birdies over her final six holes.

Simin Feng faced no such drama. The 20-year-old native of China went wire to wire and won by seven shots. Feng, who works with David Leadbetter, played one year of collegiate golf at Vanderbilt before turning pro.

Woods earned just $32,713 in 17 events during her first season on the LPGA Tour. Her best finish was a T-24 at the Founders Cup in March.

"I wasn't happy with how I played this year, so I love to have the opportunity to play next year and improve and get better and get better with every tournament," Woods said. "I didn't want to give my card away. I wanted to get that thing back this year so it feels good to play well this week."
