Scots Murray and Hill in top four at Cactus Thaw US college tournament

Ben Murray, a first year student at Western New Mexico University from Portlethen, near Aberdeen, finished third in the Cactus Thaw men's college tournament at Lonestar Golf Club, El Paso in Texas.
Murray, pictured, shot rounds of 71and 69 for a total of 140, two under par for the par-71, 6,603yd course.
He finished four shots behind the winner, Stefan Cronje (Midland) (68-68).
Another Scot on the Western New Mexico roster, Calum Hill, a senior from Kinross, finished fourthj on141 with rounds of 68 and 73.
A third Scot, Ross White, a second-year student from Dollar, shot 75-77 for 152 and a share of 24th place.
Midland (573) won the team title ahead of Western New Mexico (577) and Texas El Paso (582) in a field of six teams.
