Carnoustie's Jess Meek in top 10 at Tucson, Arizona
Freshman Jillian leads by nine shots at

TUSCON, Arizona --- Freshman Jillian Hollis covered the first two rounds of the Mountain View Collegiate at 11-under 133 on Friday, pacing the No. 5-ranked Bulldogs to a 6-under 570 team tally at Mountain View Golf Club, Tucson.
Hollis earned a nine-stroke lead on the individual leaderboard, while Georgia has a eight-shot edge in the team field. The Bulldogs opened with a 6-under 282 and followed that with a an even-par 288.
Hollis, an American, was the day's big story. She signed for a 6-under 66 in the morning and a 5-under 67 in the afternoon. Hollis enters Saturday's final round one shot off of Georgia's school record for a 54-hole tournament score.
Classmate Bailey Tardy set that standard in the fall en route to winning the Windy City Collegiate with a 12-under tally.
"It was a really impressive day by Jillian," Brewer said. "She has been extremely focused and working hard since spring break. Jillian won our qualifier leading into this event and has carried that momentum to Arizona with her."
Jess Meek, pictured, from Carnoustie and Emma Allen from Southampton gave Missouri two players in the leading 10 after 36 holes.
Jess scored 70 and 74 for 144 and ninth place.
Freshman Allen shot 73-72 for 145 and T10.
Aimee Ponte (Texas-San Antonio) from Guernsey goes into Saturday's third and final round sharing 15th place on 146 with rounds of 74 and 72.
Team-mate Brogan Townend from Blackburn shot 72-76 for 148 and a T27 placing.
Scotland's Connie Jaffrey, pictured left, from Kilwinning, Ayrshire - a student at Kansas State - scored 76-73 for 149 and T33 alongside Dulcie Sverdloff (Kennesaw State) from Southend. Dulcie had rounds of 70 and 79.
Becky McGeehan (Texas-San Antonio) from Germany where her dad works, scored 71 and 79 for 150 and T43 in a field of 85 players. Kansas State freshman Chloe Weir from Belfast had rounds of 81 and 83 for 164 and a T82 standing.
The course is 6,227yd long with a par of 72.
