Chippenham's Alex Patton has T24 finish

Alex Patton (pictured) from Chippenham and Perth's Emily Aird, both third-year students at Newman University, Wichita, Kansas, finished T24 and T33 respectively in a field of 96 players at the Otter Invitational women's college tournament at Black Horse Golf Club, Seaside, California this week.
Over a par-72 course of 5,874yd, Alex had a pair of 79s for 158 while Emily scored 78 and 82 (two double bogeys, no birdies) for 160.
Individual winner by one shot with a six-over-par total of 150 (78-72) was Beatriz Prados (Tarleton State).
Tarleton State (609) won the team title ahead of Western Washngto (622) with Dallas Baptist (624) third. Newman (633) finished seventh in a line-up of 18 teams.
