Exiled Scot Karis wins in Western Australia
Innerleithen-born Karis Davidson (17), who has lived in Queensland, Australia for the past nineyears since the family emigrated there from Scotland, has won a 72-hole open stroke-play title in Western Australia.
Karis, despite suffering from a tummy bug all week, shot rounds of 70, 70, 70 and 72 for a 12-under-par total of 282
She won by two shots from Hannah Green (19), who is above her in the Australian women's rankings.
