Only two English players, none from Ireland in 32

qualifiers for French U21s match-play

Only two English players - Rochelle Morris and Inci Mehmet  - have qualified for the match-play stages of the French Under-21 girls championship at Paris St Cloud.l
Inci had rounds of 73-75 for 148 and is listed as the 30th qualifier.; Rochelle was 74-75 for 149. Rochelle and Ireland's Annabel Wilson were two of four players tied for the last two places in the draw. The tie-breaker was a comparison of the second-round scores and Morris's 75 got her through as the last of the 32 qualifiers. She plays top seed Gioala Carpinelli (Switzerland) in Saturday's first round 
Annabel Wilson's 77 meant she just failed to make the top flight.
No Irish player qualified for the top match-play bracket. Julie McCarthy one of the leading Irish contenders withdrew before the start of the second round.
Two Irish girls, Annabel Wilson and Mairead Martin, qualified for the Under-20s Cartier Trophy match-play, contested by 16 players.
