Sheena Wood (80) leads senior Scots in Spain

Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies), pictured below, shot an eight-over-par 80 to be joint 26th in a field of 90 players at the end of the first round of the Spanish senior women's open amateur championship at Royal Pineda Golf Club, Seville.

Clubmate Ellie Whyte had an 87 and is sharing 67th place.

The other Scots in the field, Janice Paterson and Barbara Biggart, scored 83 and 88 respectively to be joint 47th and 70th.

Spain's Maria Orueta leads by three strokes with a 69.
