Edinburgh girl wins National Under-13s schools tournament

The winner of the tournament was a girl, Abby Steedman, a pupil at St George's School for Girls, Edinburgh.

She won with a net 61, one stroke better than the top two boys, Mark Corray (Robert Gordon's College) and Gregor Graham (Blairgowrie).

Robert Gordon's College did well with six boys in the top eight finishers in a field of 32 players.

Other leading girls were Emma Chapman (Loretto School) with a net 68, one shot better than Niamh Henderson (St Leonard's School).
