West Kilbride's Sarah Ramsay wins Ayrshire
girls' Spring Salver at Ardeer
By JUNE KERR
Five girls battled the windy conditions at Ardeer on Sunday in the Ayrshire girls' Spring Salver competition.
Sarah Ramsay (West Kilbride) won the trophy with an excellent round of 84, nett 71 which matched the standard scratch.
Close on her heels was local girl Luisa Gibson with a nett 73 followed by Cristina McCracken (Troon Ladies) on 75.
Katie Ronnie (Barassie) and Susie Walsh (Troon Ladies), pictured right, played nine holes from forward tees in the pre-handicap competition. Both girls played lovely golf and have a very good 'feel' for the chipping shots and putting - a delight to be with and we look forward to seeing more of them in the future.
