Carmen Griffiths wins Aberdeenshire Ladies'

Aboyne Golf Club hosted the annual Aberdeenshire Ladies County Golf Association Open at the Club this last week.Aboyne Ladies Captain Sandra Findlay said "we are absolutely delighted how this competition ran and it was a real pleasure to host players from so many different clubs around the area to play

in the County Open. The weather stayed fine and gave all the players a real good test of golf." Sandra added "It proved to be a very exciting and close competition with some excellent golf being played to a very high standard. A number of the players remarked on the wonderful condition of the course and we are grateful to Colin Forbes and his green staff for presenting Aboyne in such magnificent condition. 
"We congratulate the various category winners and hope to see them all back at Aboyne next year defending their trophies".The winners of the various categories were: 
Silver scratch – Carmen Griffiths (Aboyne) 76, Patricia Halliwell (Banchory) 83. +Carmen is pictured above. 
Silver Handicap – A Hope (Newmachar) (12) 71; B Gurden (Westhill) (12) 72; S Black (Banchory) (18) 73;K Emeleus (Hazlehead) (13) 75.
Bronze Handicap – I Sutherland (Deeside) (27) 68; E Horton (Deeside) (26) 73; R Pirie (Deeside) (27) 74.
