Michele Thomson in the mix in Sweden

Ellon's Michele Thomson (Meldrum House) is tied fourth after two rounds of the LETAS development tour's Halmstad Ladies Open in Sweden.
Michele has had rounds of 70 and 71 with birdies at the sixth, eighth, 10th and 14th in her second round which also included bogeys at the third, fourth and ninth.
Jane Turner from the Lothians is tied eighth on 142 after a pair of 71s.
Amateurs Gabrielle MacDonald (Craigielaw) and Hannah McCook (Grantown on Spey) missed the 146 cut by a considerable margin.
Gabrielle scored 78-79 for 157, one better than Hannah's 80-78 total.
Spanish amateur Marian Parra leads with scores of 71 and 67 for 138.
