A blustery day at Roxburghe golf course did not hamper the good golf played in the Border Ladies championship today.  The semis this morning both went to the 16th with the top two seeds Julie Birdsall and Tara Mactaggart winning through to the final.
In the final Tara was four up after 11th. Julie fought back, managing to bring it back to two down by winning both the 13th and 14th.
Halves at 15,16 and 17 provided a nail-biting finish with Minto member Tara Mactaggart retaining the title she won last year for the first time

Julie Birdsall (The Roxburghe) bt Judith Anderson (Hawick) 3 and 2
Tara Mactaggart (Minto) bt Sharon Paterson (Kelso) 3 and 2
Final
Mactaggart bt Birdsall 2 and 1.
