American ladies win Supporters' Saucer but GB and I men win the Gentlemen's Plate

The United States beat Great Britain and Ireland 8.5 to 6.5 in the traditional "Supporters' Saucer" match between lady amateur golfers assembled at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club, Dublin to watch the three-day Curtis Cup match which starts on Friday.
The match was played at Elm Park Golf Club. 
But, elsewhere in Dublin area, the Gentlemen's Plate at Woodbrook Golf Club finished in a clear-cut win for the GB and I men over the USA men - by an 8-3 margin.
