SCOTS WOMEN NEED TO IMPROVE
ONE PLACE IN ICELAND

Scotland
are one place away from making the top eight championship match-play
after the first qualifying round of the European women's amateur team
championship at Oddur Golf Club, Iceland.
Norway
still have a player to finish her first round but they are likely to
lead from England (370) with Scotland (379) in ninth place overnight.
Connie
Jaffrey and Eilidh Briggs put the Scots in the qualification picture
with both scoring 73s to be tied 16th individually in a big field of 120
players.
Jess Meek from Carnoustie has still to complete her first round.
