FOURSOMES TITLE

Murcar Links won the Aberdeenshire Ladies County Golf Association's Lyon Foursomes match-play tournament at Meldrum House.

Pat Wilson and her daughter Carol, Michelle Black and Molly Stewart beat Kemnay (Sammy Leslie, Linda Patterson, Lauren Whyte and Yvonne Richal) 7-5 in the final.

Carol Wilson and Stewart beat Sammy Leslie and Linda Patterson by seven holes in the double foursomes format. Kemnay also made up the deficit with their second sgtring of Whyte and Richal winning by five holes against Pat Wilson and Black.

It was Pat Wilson's day to remember. She had a hole in one at the sixth hole (140yd) with a rescue club in the morning semi-final 7-0 win over Deeside.

+Murcar Links have now won the tournament eight times in the past 10 years - 2007, 08, 09, 10, 12, 14, 15 and now 2016.
