                Scotland girls lead Welsh 2-1 after Day 1 foursomes

Scotland put the first point on the board at the 2016 Girls' Home Internationals when U18 champion Hazel MacGarvie (Troon Ladies) and Jillian Farrell (Cardross) scored an impressive 7 and 5 win over Nicla wainwrightr and Ffion Vineall of Wales.

Wales levelled the foursomes at 1-1 when Lucy Jones and Caitlin Evans-Brand bt Jennifer S
Rankine and Jasmine MacKintosh 3 and 2. 
Scotland's Shannon McWilliam and Joanne Free beat Ffion Evans and Carys Worby to give Scotland girls a 2-1 lunchtime lead before the afternoon singles.
