EMMA ALLEN TOPSCORES FOR MISSOURI AGAIN
Emma Allen, a second-year student from Southampton, continues to top score for the University of Missouri women's golf team.
She finished T15 in a field of 75 players at the Jim West Challenge (October 9-10) at The Woodlands Golf Club in Texas with scores of 71, 74 and 69 for a two-under-par aggregate of 214 for the par-72 course (6,138yd).
Team-mates former Scottish champion Clara Young from North Berwick finished T39 on 221 (71-70-80) and past Scottish junior women's title-winner Jess Meek. a final year student from Carnoustie, finished T55 with rounds of 76, 75 and 74 for 226.
The Texas-San Antonio pair of Becky McGeehan (78-76-74) and Aime Ponte from Guernsey (81-71-76) tied for 61st place on 228.
Winner with a 13-under-par total was Matilde Castren (Florida State) with super scores of 69, 65 and 69 for 203. Florida State (840) also won the team title ahead of Kent State (847) and Miami (853) with Missouri (878) 11th and UTSA (888) 12th in a field of 15 teams
