LEONA AND BRONTE STILL WELL UP IN LPGA QUALIFIER
Curtis Cup players, who are still amateurs, Leona Maguire (Ireland) and England's Bronte Law are lying joint third in a field of 192 players with one round to go in the LPGA Qualifying School Stage 2 eliminator at Venice, Florida.
Only the leading 80 and ties after Sunday's fourth and final round will advance to the next stage.
Maguire has had rounds of 72, 67 and 74, Law 69, 70 and 74, for three-under-par tallies of 213 - three behind the leader by five shots, Norway's Marianne Skarpnord who won the British girls' open amateur title in 2003. She has had three very good scores of 69, 68 and 69 for 10-under 206.
