OLIVIA MEHAFFEY JUST OUTSIDE TOP 10 IN HAWAII
Curtis Cup player Olivia Mehaffey (pictured left) from Northern Ireland, a student at Arizona State University, finished T13 in a field of 64 at the Nanea Pac 12 Preview college tournament at Nanea Golf Club, Kailua Kona, Hawaii.
Olivia had rounds of 74, 76 and 72 for a three-over-par total of 222 over a testing par-73 course of 6,372yd.
She finished nine shots behind the winner by two, Robynn Ree (Southern California), with scores of 70-73-70 for 213.
Mehaffey's effort helped Arizona State (878) win the team title ahead of great rivals Arizona (881) with Stanford (889) third in a field of 11 teams.
DUNBLANE'S NICOLA T39 FINISH IN FLORIDA
Nicola Robertson (pictured right) from Dunblane, a student at King University, Tennessee, finished T39 in a field of 89 at the Flagler Fall Slam college tournament at Marsh Creek County Club.
Nicola had scores of 80 and 79 for 159, 15-over-par for the 6,062yd, par-72 course at St Augustine, Florida.
King team-mate Samantha Taylor from Newcastle finished T57 with scores of 84 and 81 for 165.
Individual winner was Tilda Larsson (Barry University) with scores of 74 and 70 for level par 144.
Barry (587) also won the team honours ahead of Flagler College (604) and Seminole State (605). King (641) came 10th of 16.
