SURREY STUDENT'S T15 FINISH IN BIG FIELD AT BOULDER CREEK

Elizabeth Prior from Surrey (pictured left)  a second-year student at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV), finished T15 in a field of 105 players at this week's Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at Boulder Creek Golf Club, Boulder City in Nevada.

Elizabeth had a pair of 70s for a four-under-par total of 140 - five shots behind the winner, Amy Lee (Baylor) with 68-67 for nine-under 135.

Former Scottish U18 girls champion Fiona Liddell from Germany, where her father is a club pro, and a freshman at Baylor University, tied for 36th place with Emma Allen (Missouri), a sophomore from Southampton on one-under 143.

Fiona scored 72-71, Emma 73-70.

Last year's Scottish women's amateur champion Clara Young from North Berwick, a third-year student at Missouri, finished T54 on 145 (74-71).

Baylor (551) won the team title ahead of UNLV (559), Idaho (560) with Texas and San Diego State tied for fourth place on 561.

Missouri finished ninth of 19 with a total of 572
