CATRIONA NAMED WORLD BADMINTON AMBASSADOR

Golf isn't the only sport in which Catriona Matthew excels.

This week, the major champion from North Berwick was named the third ambassador for the TOTAL BWF World Badminton Championships 2017, to be held at the Emirates Arena, London Road, Glasgow from August 21 to 27.

Catriona, past winner of the Women's British Open, became the first female inducted into Scotland's Golf Hall of Fame in 2016 and will serve as a vice-captain to European captain Annika Sorenstam at this year's Solheim Cup at Des Moines Golf and Country Club, Iowa from August 18 to 20.

Glasgow if she is to be present at the world badminton championships from the 21st to the 27th of August.
