Sammy, Gemma and Julie in top 10 after two rounds in Portugal

England's Sammy Fuller, Gemma Batty (Scotland) and Ireland's Julie McCarthy are all in the top 10 after two rounds of the Portuguese women's amateur international championship at Montado Golf Resort.

Fuller is T5 on 143 after rounds of 69-74, while McCarthy (73-72) and Batty (72-73) are T8 on 145.

Italy's Letizia Bagnoli continues to lead on four-under 140 (67-73), one stroke ahead of Line Toft Hanson (Denmark) (68-73).

Sweden's Julie Engstrom, at 15 the youngest ever winner of the British women's open amateur championship at Dundonald Links last year, is sharing third place on 142 with compatriot Frida Kinhult (68-74). Engstrom has scored 69, 73.

Scoring conditions were much tougher than on the opening day and only two players in the field of 90 had sub-par second rounds.
