NOBILIO IN SPANISH FINAL BUT KINHULT MUST FINISH OFF OTHER SEMI-FINAL EARLY SUNDAY MORNING

Sweden's Frida Kinhult, conqueror of England's Sophie Lamb (first round) and Annabell Fuller (second round), was three up on the top seed, Germany's Anastasia Mickan, after 10 holes of their semi-final in the Spanish women's amateur international championship when bad light stopped play for the day at Sherry Golf, Jerez, near Cadiz.

That tie will be resumed at 8.15am Sunday (local time).

Already through to Sunday's 36 hole final is Italy's Alessia Nobilio, the 22nd qualifier. She played a bit faster in her semi-final and beat compatriot Letizia Bagnoli, the 10th seed, by 3 and 1.

Kinhult is the No 5 seed.

Nobilio beat last year's British championship winner, Julia Engstrom (Sweden) in an earlier round.
