OLIVIA JORDAN-HIGGINS SETS PACE WITH A 66

Channel Islander Olivia Jordan-Higgins leads the field with a six-under-par 66 after the first round of the first Symetra Tour event of 2017, Florida's Natural Charity Classic at Winter Haven over 54 holes.

The Jersey player bogeyed the short second but birdied the long fourth, short sixth, eighth, 10th, long 11th, long 13th, 14th and long 18th in halves of 34 (2 under) and 32 (four under).

Olivia's second bogey came at the short 12th.

Americans Erica Popson and Laura Wearn are in second and third places with scores of 67 and 68 respectively.

Aberdeen-born Gemma Dryburgh had a 71 for a share of 16th place.

England's Charlotte Thomas had a 74 for T51.

Ellie Givens (England) is in danger of missing the cut after a 79 for T115.

There is a field of 132 players.
