Emily Aird fails to break 80 in three rounds in Texas
Perth's Emily Aird, coming up to the end of her four years as a student at Newman College, Wichita, will be looking to recapture the form that once made her an outstanding prospect when she returns to Scotland for good this summer.
Emily had disappointing rounds of 82, 80 and 83 for a total of 245 and 35th place in a field of 50 competitors at the Heartland Women's Conference Championship at Slick Rock Golf Club, Horseshoe Bay, Texas this week.
Dallas Baptist players, Addison Mitchell (69-77-68 for two-under 214) and Sarah Kim (71-72-72 for 215) finished first and second individually and Dallas Baptist (888) also won the team title by 10 shots from St Mary's.
Newman (932) finished sixth of 10.
