NICOLA ROBERTSON FROM DUNBLANE WINS CAROLINA'S CONFERENCE TITLE

Nicola Robertson from Dunblane, a student at King University, Tennessee, won the Carolina's Conference women's individual golf championship in a nail-biting finish at Cutter Creek Golf Club, Snow Hill in North Carolina on Tuesday.
The Scot prevailed against Megan Holbrooks (Pfeiffer University) at the third hole of a sudden-death play-off after they had tied on 144 (Nicola 72-72, Meghan 74-70) at the end of the regulation 36 holes over a par-72 course of 5,894yd.
Robertson birdied the 14th and 18th in her second round while Holbrooks had five birdies in her second round, including the 18th to get into the play-off.
It was the Scot's third USA women's college golf circuit victory.
Team-mate Samantha Taylor from Newcastle also played her part in securing the team title for King University.She finished T9 with rounds of 76 and 77 for 153. She had a double bogey 6 at the 12th but birdied the 18th as King (606) won by three shots from Limestone College (609) with Mount Olive (616) third in the 10-team line-up.
