OH, OH OLIVIA! INWARD HALF OF 44

Curtis Cup player Olivia Mehaffey, a student at Arizona State University, does not have many rounds like her opening effort in the Pac-12 Women's Championships aty Sewallo Golf Club, Tucson Arizona yesterday.

She is lying T38 in a field of 55 competitors after a round of eight-over-par 80 at a 6,583yd course.

Olivia took 44 blows for the inward half - a double bogey 7 (her second of the round) followed by bogeys at six of the remaining holes.

Earlier she had birdied the fifth and eighth but run up a 6 at the par-4 fourth.

Leading the field jointly on one-under 71 at two UCLA students, Lilia Vu and Bethany Wu.
