Jill McNicoll wins East Lothian Championship at the 21st

Jill McNicoll of Gullane Ladies won the East Lothian Championship today over a very blustery Muirfield Links, when she beat Kay Lannin from Craigielaw at the 21st in an epic struggle.

Jill started off by winning four holes early on,  but then Kay won five in a row.  All square at the turn, there was never more than one hole in it after that, and they finished the 18th all square,  It was not until the third extra hole that Jill eventually holed a five foot putt for a four and the match.

Jane McMinn, North Berwick, won the Handicap Quaich when she beat clubmate Sue Murray at the 18th by two holes.

Jill with her parents who are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary today. 
They should have been at Gleneagles,  but managed to change the date.
