OLIVIA MEHAFFEY T16 WITH A 74 IN TEXAS REGIONAL

Olivia Mehaffey (Arizona State University) returned a two-over-par 74 over the 6,593yd course at Lubbock, Texas to be T16 in a field of 96 at the end of the first round of the NCAA Lubbock Regional.

The Curtis Cup player from Northern Ireland had a double bogey 7 at the par-5 18th and only one birdie, at the first hole. She also dropped a shot with a bogey at the ninth in a round of 15 pars.

In the same tournament, Elizabeth Prior (UNLV) from Surrey shot an up-and-down round of 77 for a T55 position. She birdied the first, second, fourth, eighth and 18th but had three double bogeys, two of them at short holes, the third and 16th. She also had a 6 at the par-4 11th in halves of 35-42.

Prior dropped single shots to par at the ninth, 12th, 13th and 15th.
