TOP SEED KIMBERLEY IN  SEMI-FINALS WITH 19th HOLE WIN OVER SAMMY

Top seed Kimberley Beveridge (Aboyne) won a tremendous quarter-final tie against former Aberdeenshire champion Sammy Leslie (Kemnay) at the 19th in the North of Scotland women's amateur golf championship at Kemnay Golf Club.

Beveridge will now play Angus county champion Gillian Paton (Royal Montrose) for a place in Wednesday afternoon's final.

The other semi-final will be an all-Muckart members match between No 2 seed Eilidh Watson and No 3 qualifier, Jen Saxton.

Saxton beat Jackie Brown (Monifieth) by 6 and 5 in the quarterfinals while Watson was a 4 and 2 winner over former North of Scotland champion Laura Walker, who is also a Muckhart member.

The semi-finals will tee off at 9am and 9.07 with the final at 2.20pm.
