MICHELE'S GOOD START TO LPGA Q SCHOOL
Michele Thomson (Meldrum House) from Ellon, Aberdeenshire has made a good start to the LPGA and Symetra Tour Qualifying School Stage 1 tournament at Mission Hills Country Club, California.
She shot a three-under-par 69 with birdies at the fifth, ninth, 13th, 17th and 18th, offset by bogeys at the eighth and 14th.
She is joint 14th in a record field of 361 players.
