FIONA LIDDELL FINISHES T3O IN ANNIKA INTERCOLLEGIATE
Former Scottish U18 girls champion Fiona Liddell, daughter of a Germany-based Scottish club professional and now a student at Baylor College, Texas, finished T30 in a field of 60 players at the Annika Intercollegiate tournament at Olympic Hills, Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
She had scores of 75, 74 and 74 for a seven over par total of 223 over a 6,288yd course.
Maria Fassi (Arkansas), with a 10 under par total of 206 (70-70-66) won by five strokes and also helped Arkansas University (848) win the team title by 12 strokes from UCLA with Stanford (870) third of 12. Baylor (889) finished T8.
HOLLIE MUSE MAKES GOOD START TO US COLLEGE CAREER
Freshman Hollie Muse from Liverpool, a student at Daytona State College, and Eilidh Watson from Dunblane, a student at Stetson University, finished T22 and T43 respectively in a field of 81 players at the Jacksonville Classic at Marsh Landing Country Club, Ponte Verde Beach in Florida. Hollie, who finished sixth in only her second competition on the USA college circuit, had ever improving rounds of 80, 76 and 73 for a total of 229. Eilidh shot 79, 76 and 80 for 235.
Two Jacksonville players, Michelle Forsland (75-67-73) and Amanda Detmer (72-71-72) tied for first player on 215 over a par 72 course of 5,988yd. There was no play-off. Not surprisingly, Jacksonville (888) won the team tevent by nin strokes from Seminole State with Daytona State (900) third. Steton (923) finished 10th of 12.
