LORNA MCCLYMONT WINS THE WEST OF SCOTLAND GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP

Lorna McClymont (Milngavie) won the 2017 West Girls Championship today after a great match against Susan Woodhouse (East Kilbride) in this afternoon's final.
The final was  played in extremely windy conditions and although there were rain showers most of the final was dry.
Considering the weather both girls played very well and was an exciting final, finishing with Lorna holing a 3 foot putt on the last for a half and to win the match 1up.

The two young up and coming stars -- Lorna who had won the St Andrews University schoolgirls invitational tournament earlier this year and Susan who had been runner up in that tournament certainly put on a great display of golf in difficult conditions.
